About Gustavo A. Diaz-Reyes, MD, FACS

  • Dr. Reyes, a native of Cali, Colombia, enjoys spending time with his wife and three young daughters when he is not at work. He also tries to play some soccer or volleyball, hiking, and enjoys going to movies and concerts. Among his favorite local spots are Zilker Park and Hamilton Pool.

Growing up, I viewed medicine then, as I still do, as a profession that allows you to serve other people with a significant impact in their lives at a time of need. I believe in serving well, doing no harm, and treating patients as you would treat close and beloved relatives, presenting all the available options for treatment of his/her condition, and helping the patient choose the most reasonable one according to each individual situation.

  • March 22, 2024

Explanation of the issues I was having and the procedure that was going to be performed. Identification of other issues I was having and suggestions to have a sleep study done. Everything was great and helped ease my nerves that something more severe was happening which was not the case.

  • March 21, 2024

Excellent service provided by Dr and his nurse.

  • March 21, 2024

For as long as it took to get the appointment, it felt very rushed. Did not feel like I was allowed to ask questions. Pleasant but rather dismissive.

  • March 19, 2024

Dr. Diaz Reyes has always been patient in answering my many questions and even more importantly was able to give me a very positive outcome after performing my cancer surgery. His nurse has always been very friendly and helpful as well.
